# How far your team reaches, newest first

In a lot of processes the work is not answering: it is asking again. Here are the follow-ups a week asks for against the ones your team can run, newest first, and the gap is left expressed in concrete cases nobody is touching today.

How far your team reaches, newest first

Cases open right now: 140

New cases a week: 12

How often you should ask again: 3 days

Follow-ups a day one person does: 12

People doing follow-up: 2 people

With 72 follow-ups per 3 days cycle, that is as far as your team gets.

A case stops getting follow-up 30 days after it opens. Not because somebody closed it: because by then enough newer cases have come in ahead of it.

That is 68 of your 140 open cases, and no dashboard shows it: they still count as open, nobody decided to drop them, and nobody is going to write to them again.

All five numbers are yours. The only thing the tool adds is the consequence of working newest first, which is what happens when nobody decided who to stop answering.
